IUB teams achieve remarkable success in Fury Race

Mechanical Engineering Association (MEA), BUET had arranged Mechanical Festival 2018 on Thursday, July 19, 2018. Fury Race, a part of this festival is one of the greatest attraction to all those robotics lover throughout the country. It was an Open competition where the participants will come with their Remote Controlled car, challenge other racers, show the speed, precision, balance and torque of their RC car and win the glory of becoming the furious racer of the country.
Absent Boyz, a robotics team of the Computer Science Department of the Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) secured 2nd position in Fury Race. Another robotics team of the Department of Computer Science, Team Fusion, secured 4th position in the competition.
The members of Absent Boyzare Iftekharul Alam, Shehzan Haider Chowdhury and Murshed Al-Amin. The members of the team are in their sophomore year and plan on competing in upcoming competitions also.
Team Fusion is a new team formed by the fresher students, Aryan Rovin, Sadman Saifee, Tonmoy Baishnab and Omar Faruk Shawon. Despite being in the their freshman year, the team is performed pretty well.
The participating universities in the Fury Race competition were BRAC, BUET, IUT, Ahsanullah University, SUST and others.
The robotics teams of IUB guided and mentored by departmental faculty members, and were sponsored by FAB LAB IUB. All the participants are active members and researchers of FabLab IUB.
