IUB organizes inter private university football tournament

As part of celebrating 25 years of its glorious journey, Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) organized a inter private university football tournament held from 6-7 July, 2018 at the Fortis sports ground, Dhaka. 8 private universities took part in this tournament where Fareast University became the champion defeating IUB by 1-0. NSU, BRAC, ULAB, AIUB, City and Southeast were other six universities in the tournament.
In collaboration with IUB Football Club, the competition was organized under the supervision of Kazi Faruque Ahmed, Coordinator, IUB Silver Jubilee Celebration Committee. Other team members were Saiful Kabir, Sr. Officer, Student Affairs and Fatema Tuz Zohora, Jr. Officer. After 2 days of exciting competition, while Fareast clinched the title, Intishar Mostafa Chowdhury of IUB grabbed the ‘best player of the tournament’ award adjudicated by the panel. Intishar was the highest scorer of the tournament as well by having 4 goals in his account. Alongside, Samiul Islam of IUB received the ‘best defender’ award in the tournament.
