IUB organized a seminar titled, ‘Higher Study Opportunities in the USA,’ by the American Center

The Office of the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) organized a seminar titled, ‘Higher Study Opportunities in the USA,’ by the American Center, Dhaka, on Thursday, 22nd March 2018 at the university campus at Bashundhara R/A.
Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Milan Pagon, in his welcome speech pointed the importance of choosing USA for higher education since the country has the best education quality and institutions in the world.
Mr. Kelly Ryan and Mr. A.Q.M. Mushfiq Hasan from the American Center conducted the seminar. Mr. Kelly Ryan is an Assistant Cultural Affairs Officer at the American Center & Foreign Service Officer at the U.S. Department of State. Mr. A.Q.M. Mushfiq Hasan is an EducationUSA Student Adviser & Outreach Coordinator for the U.S. Embassy, Dhaka. The speakers explained the higher study opportunities in the USA along with a comprehensive guideline (e.g., timeframe to apply, components of admission application package, basic criteria of admission etc.) to apply to the US universities. They also answered various questions and queries of the students. Gift items were awarded to the students in a surprise quiz at the end of the seminar.
The seminar was part of the continuation of IUB’s collaboration with the American Center.
