Biggest ever 'Job Fair' of IUB

The Office of the Career Guidance and Placement of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) organized a daylong Job Fair on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 for its students and graduates at the university campus in Bashundhara, Dhaka. Mr. Rashed Chowdhury, Chairman, Board of Trustees, IUB, inaugurated the Fair as the Chief Guest. This year, IUB is celebrating its 25th anniversary and this has been the biggest Job Fair IUB has ever executed.
Prof. M. Omar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, IUB; Prof. Milan Pagon, Pro Vice Chancellor, IUB Mr. Md. Abdullah Iqbal, Deputy Director, Career Guidance and Placement, IUB spoke during the inaugural ceremony.
The objectives of organizing and implementing IUB Job Fair were in 2-fold. Firstly, to create opportunities for university graduates and students to know about the leading companies & organizations of the country. This Fair also took them through the operational procedures of participating organizations; their vision, mission and values and created avenues towards obtaining suitable jobs and crafting desired professional careers.
Secondly, the participating companies also got enormous possibilities of choosing resourceful and promising professionals who can really become the assets for these organizations in order to expanding & achieving their ultimate business and operational goals.
A total number of 49 multinational and national companies and organizations took part in the Job Fair. Through 56 different stalls, they collected significant number of CVs from potential IUB candidates.
